To keep the beach free of waste and clean.
The sand cleaning tasks below the promenade are carried out by the AMB, differentiating between three stages: prior to the summer season, during the summer, and in winter.
- In the pre-season there is a team that is responsible for manual and mechanical cleaning of the entire beach and the daily emptying of trash cans. The daily removal of waste is classified at the point of destination.
- Coinciding with spring, the sand is removed by plowing, in order to facilitate its aeration and exposure to sunlight, so that the sanitizing action of the sun's rays reaches an optimal level of health.
- In high season the cleaning team is increased and is responsible for cleaning the beach and sweeping the sand once a week, in addition to emptying the trash cans daily.
The cleaning tasks of the promenade and the emptying of the trash cans found on it also have a frequency that is increased in high season in order to adapt to the reality of its use.
The beach has 165-liter containers at the entrances, trash cans distributed along the beach and 1800-liter semi-buried trash cans. Waste is separated into its destination at treatment plants.
In terms of technical means, there are: screening machines, tractors to drag the machines, 4×4 vehicles for emptying bins and inspection, as well as vans to transport personnel, backhoes to move sand, a small screening machine for difficult-to-access areas and a brush cutter for maintenance work.
